Description
In this class you’ll learn how to make from scratch, wonderful lotions and creams for your face and body. We’ll discuss all necessary ingredients, standard equipment and supplies needed to get started. You’ll learn about the properties and shelf-life of plant oils and natural butters and how and when to use antioxidants and preservatives – a necessary part of making lotions and creams for safety as they always contain water-based ingredients. Note: it is all paraben-free. We will also use and discuss skin nourishing botanical additives. I’ll demonstrate favourite recipes. The batches we make in class will be unscented and uncoloured and you’ll get to add your choice of essential oils. Popular scent combinations include lavender & mint, lemon & rosemary, and geranium, ylang ylang & sweet orange. Once finished scenting, you will package and label your custom product to take home and enjoy.

The class is about 3 hours long and is a foundation workshop for making your own professional style creams – no experience necessary. Registration fee includes materials, handouts, and take home your own signature creations.

All of our workshops and classes are hands on and held at our shop at 116 Juliette St (corner Baron St) Greenslopes Qld 4120, Brisbane.
